# Console and workspaces

> Understand workspaces, projects and resources in Webdock Console.

Open [Webdock Console](https://console.webdock.dev) to manage your resources. Console is the current browser application; older documents and integration URLs may still use Studio.

## Resource hierarchy

| Concept | What it represents |
| - | - |
| Workspace | The customer account, members, enabled services and allowances |
| Project | A grouping of related resources belonging to a customer |
| Website | An independently running website with its own CMS and content |
| Application | A managed workload with configuration, runtime state and operations |
| Database | A provisioned database service associated with a project |

A project is an organizational record. Provisioning a website, application or database is a separate action.

## Customer and operator views

Customers see their assigned workspaces and resources. Platform operators also manage customers, infrastructure, plans, integrations and operations. Workspace administrator access does not grant platform operator access.

Operators can enter a time-limited, read-only customer view. It preserves the operator identity and blocks changes, purchases and payment management. Leave that view before performing an authorized administrative change.

## Operation state

An accepted action can start an asynchronous operation. Open its details to see whether it finished. A queued restart or deployment is not evidence that the application is healthy.

<Tip>Keep resource and operation IDs when reporting a failure. Do not include API keys or private connection strings.</Tip>
