Managed PostgreSQL requires operator enablement and capacity. The documented initial rollout is a pilot, not a general-availability promise. Use the offers and status shown for your workspace.
The initial managed database model uses PostgreSQL 18 with transaction pooling. Shared customers have separate databases and roles. Dedicated services receive their own installation.

Order and readiness

Select a project, review the offered resources and terms, then accept explicitly. Provisioning starts after reservation and availability checks. A created order is not a ready database; wait for verified readiness before connecting applications.

Connections and lifecycle

Use the connection details provided for your database. Keep credentials server-side and verify TLS. Transaction pooling does not preserve a client session on one connection across transactions; choose an appropriate connection mode for tools needing session state. Project creation and sign-in do not automatically create a database. Pausing does not necessarily end billing or release retained storage. Review the accepted terms before cancellation.
The initial service is single-primary. Automatic backups, point-in-time recovery, backup-based cloning and automatic failover are not included in the documented initial implementation. Retained volumes are not backups.
